Tel Aviv’s Stephan Bazbaz drops four stripped back house cuts on Madtech Records this September with his ‘AMBA’ EP.
As contributions towards the ever-growing sound of driving minimal house reverberates worldwide, Stephan Bazbaz has continually had his finger on the pulse of the movement by being at the forefront of underground club culture, quickly becoming an internationally recognised DJ and producer whilst confirming his position as one of the leading electronic music talents in Israel. His increasing catalogue includes previous releases on Moss Co., PIV, Rebelion, EWax and his own No Waves Records, whilst a busy DJ schedule has welcomed sets at the likes of Egg (London), Wilde Renate (Berlin), Sash (Sydney), and at Tel Aviv’s famous Breakfast Club where he features as a resident. Following his vinyl only release on Audionik Ltd., Bazbaz continues his journey by serving up another original selection and joining the roster of Madtech Records, following recent material from the likes of DJOKO, Alex Ranerro and Ray Mono.
Opening things up, ‘Wednesday’ dives in with punchy kicks and upbeat hats alongside haunting synths and vocal textures whilst fleeting bleeps, tight cymbal rolls and squelchy stabs catch attention within ‘CINQ’. Next ‘Morning Arps’ bumps along with side chained low-end, soft keys and a stripped back aesthetic, before sliding into ‘Anguria’ which signs off the EP with groove heavy bass samples, lively drums and warm echoed pads.
Stephan Bazbaz’ ‘AMBA EP’ drops on Madtech Records on 6th September 2019.
